Supercollider version?

Postby empeeby » Tue Mar 08, 2016 1:53 pm

Hi there everyone,

I'm keen to use guitarix within supercollider.

Does anyone have experience doing this?

I've found the repositories on github (by gusano and smoge) claiming to build sc plugins from the raw guitarix faust files, but these seem to be broken (they're 5 years old and I suspect new versions of faust and/or supercollider don't agree with the scripts any more).

I'm relatively new to this backend stuff but I'm experienced with supercollider and willing to learn, if anyone has any tips/ideas or would like to work together to get this working, get in touch!

Let's do this

Hi

I'm ain't using Supercollider, but yes, faust supports the build of supercollider plugins.
The build script at https://github.com/smoge/gxplugins is looking good to me, so I guess it will be a good starting point from there. True, some of the faust dsp files in guitarix have changed a bit, and a couple of new ones been added, so a overwork of the dsp section is needed.
I guess the best way to go is to do a fork from there, install faust, fetch the guitarix sources and start a overwork of the gxplugins.
